Owen Bunn appears on the census for the Little River District of Wake Co., NC for the years of 1830, 1840,1850. Tax List for Wake Co. indicate that he owned several hundred acres of land in the Little River District from 1835 until 1844. The 1860 census indicates that Owen was a farmer and was living next door to his son, George, in the Northeastern Division of Wake County. It is hard to determine exactly when Owen was born. Census records indicates that he was born about 1785-1790. His death notice in the Daily Journal, Wilmington, NC, indicates that he died at age 96 on 4 Dec 1868. That would move his birth date back to about 1764. He was living on Prince Street in Wilmington at the time of his death.

From the above bible record we know that Owen Bunn was the father of Larkin Fox Bunn. Larkin Fox Bunn is thought to be the brother of Clemons Bunn, who is the husband of Siddie Powell. Larkin and Clemons both were born in NC, and both moved to TN. They lived close by each other in TN. Clemons had a son named Larkin, assumingly named for his brother, Larkin Fox Bunn.  Clemons had a daughter named Hester, assumingly named for the wife of Larkin Fox Bunn, Hester Ann Parker.

There are some who think that Clemons Bunn could be the son of Cade Bunn, son of Benjamin Bunn and Katherine Massey. They say that it is family history and have yet to find proof. I know at times in my search I have thought that someone was the son of who ever and then found out that I was wrong. I have no proof that Clemons and Larkin Fox were brothers, other that what I stated above. But that does not mean I am right, it is just the way I see it for now. If you have any proof or ideas, one way or the other, please let me know.
