Notes for Elias H. Bunn

On January 14, 1853, in the division of his father's land, Elias Bunn received 58 acres of land adjoining Beaver Dam Branch in southeastern Franklin County, NC. On 22 Feb 1862, while residing in Franklin County, Elias, at the age of 35, enlisted into service for the confederacy. He was a member of Co. B, 47th Regt, NC Troops (p. 264, NC Troops, 1861-1865, A Roster, Vol. XI). He was wounded at Bristoe Station in Virginia on or about 14 Oct 1863 and retired to the Invalid Corps on December 1864. According to the NC Extant Voter Registration of 1867, Elias was living in the Griffin District of Franklin County, NC.
