Here I hope to have files for the many different Bunn Families of North Carolina. Most researchers, but not all, feel that Owen Bunn is the progenitor for the Bunn families of North Carolina. The connection to Owen Bunn can not always be proven. My line does connect to Owen Bunn.

Owen Bunn name was never spelled as Bunn. It was spelled as Burne, Burn and Bourne, as well as other spellings. Owen Bunn is believed to be of Scot or Scot-Irish descent. I have heard that with the proper accent that Bunn, Burn and Burne all sound identical. Thus comes the confusing of the correct spelling of our name. Here I will use the spelling as Bunn except in cases where the user today uses the spelling Burn, Burns, or other spellings.

Here I hope to have as many files, on the different Bunn Families, as possible. In my files I hope that you can find the information that you are seeking. If you find any errors or mistakes, or if you have information that you want included, please let me know. The way we expand our knowledge is by sharing our knowledge. I learned a long time ago that doing genealogy is too big of a job to do alone. I have asked many for help.
